Future Leaders

We need better leaders. This is the time to develop and empower our future ethical, caring leaders. In 10, 20, 30 years time, we would like to have leaders who are knowledgeable, compassionate, caring, wise and intelligent. We want leaders who care about the world and its inhabitants and are willing to solve the real problems with effective sustainable solutions, rather than short-term actions that result it long-lasting fiascos that has continued to scar our world today and is still continuing to do so.
We need to look no further than observing our current leaders – are they really up to it? How can we really have better leaders in the future?

The Highest Level of Leadership

At the highest level of leadership, is when service precedes survival. The leader's highest priority is the realisation and manifestation the vision he or she beholds. His or her own survival is secondary to this - and to the highest degree, the purpose of survival itself is the manifestation of that vision.

The True Leader

A true leader understands that service is their mission and care at the core of their ways. The true leader is not concerned with status and rank nor self-seeking interests but purely in the interest of service. You take this leader out of their formal position and put them on the streets, nothing changes, their deep seeded desire for service remains and they will find new and creative ways to serve the world and society.

Leadership Is...

Leadership is having the confidence to stand up with what you believe, the humility to receive feedback, the ability to empathize from multiple perspectives, and the courage to change and evolve for the better.

Physical Body Can Change So Can the Brain (Happiness Hypothesis)

In his book The Happiness Hypothesis, Jonathan Haidt talks about the identical twins that that are the same in every aspect and have same physical and behavioural tendencies (like drinking their coffee cold, bursting into laughter in mid-sentence.)
Now think of two identical twins, they look the same and behave the same. Take one of them and coach them to do a routine workout everyday for 6 months. Will this twin look physically the same as the other after six months?

The brain is the same, it is plastic - and so it can change. It may initially have the same natural tendencies but these natural tendencies and inherent habits can be broken and new ones made. The twins could undergo radical change if they go through a different lifestyle.
