In his book The Happiness Hypothesis, Jonathan Haidt talks about the identical twins that that are the same in every aspect and have same physical and behavioural tendencies (like drinking their coffee cold, bursting into laughter in mid-sentence.)
Now think of two identical twins, they look the same and behave the same. Take one of them and coach them to do a routine workout everyday for 6 months. Will this twin look physically the same as the other after six months?
The brain is the same, it is plastic - and so it can change. It may initially have the same natural tendencies but these natural tendencies and inherent habits can be broken and new ones made. The twins could undergo radical change if they go through a different lifestyle.
